What do you mean by 'Best and Worst Performers'?
Glad you asked, we review players from each role that racked up those fantasy points and shame those who flopped (in a nice way). This article aims to give you insight into the past week’s matches because we know you may not watch every single second of the LCS and LEC like we do! With that said, let’s dive into the LoL Fantasy Best and Worst Performers Week 9 Spring 2020!
Keep in mind that it’s based on their salary, expected performance and how they actually performed.

TOP LANE
Cost: $90,000
Points: 41.78
Discussion: After losing the last 8 games in a row with SK, Sacre was valued at only $90,000 going into Week 9, and he turned that price on its head. Most of his points came from his Gangplank game against Rogue, where he had a 3-0-8 scoreline. Anyone that picked up Sacre to round out an otherwise expensive roster was in for a nice surprise!
Honorable Mentions:
- S04 Odoamne $220,000: 63.87 points.
- VIT Cabochard $130,000: 44.84 points.
- IMT Soaz $140,000: 30.36 points.
Team: Rogue
Cost: $260,000
Points: 8.23
Discussion: The first of many Rogue players in the worst performers column, Finn totally bombed in Week 9. Normally one of the better scorers, Finn (and Rogue as a whole) absolutely dropped the ball when they had a chance at a 2-0 weekend against the 8th and 9th place teams in the LEC, Schalke 04 and SK Gaming.
Honorable Mentions:
- FLY V1per $180,000: 3.38 points.
- MSF Dan Dan $250,000: 22.81 points.
- TSM Broken Blade $250,000: 23.91 points.
JUNGLE
Cost: $130,000
Points: 62.91
Discussion: Almost all of Skeanz’s points for Week 9 came from their crazy bloodbath of a match against a Fnatic that pretty much just trolled their picks and didn’t take the game seriously, as it had no effect on playoffs. I salute anyone that had the foresight to somehow predict that this would happen, but under normal circumstances, there’s no chance whatsoever he would have scored this well. With all that said, his 12-4-10 scoreline was more than enough to get him into the top 5 scorers regardless.
Honorable Mentions:
- S04 Gilius $50,000: 43.21 points.
- 100T Meteos $220,000: 49.97 points.
- SK Trick $140,000: 41.96 points.
Cost: $220,000
Points: 7.94
Discussion: In Week 9, XL were expected to go 1-1, losing to Origen, then beating SK, but they unexpectedly went 0-2, and it wasn’t pretty. Across both games, Caedrel’s scoreline was 1-8-5. Not what you want to see from a budget pick like Caedrel was going into the week.
Honorable Mentions:
- EG Svenkskeren $240,000: 17.55 points.
- RGE Inspired $260,000: 22.56 points.
MID LANE
Team: Vitality
Cost: $110,000
Points: 67.98
Discussion: Selife was yet another lucky recipient of Fnatic’s never ending buffet of kills. However, unlike his teammate Skeanz, alot of Selfie’s points in Week 9 came from their loss against Misfits the day prior, where he earned a 8-2-2 scoreline on Azir. So at least his best performer spot feels much more legitimate.
Team: Rogue
Cost: $280,000
Points: 25.87
Discussion: The second Rogue player to appear in the worst performer column, Larssen swindled people out of points that were previously thought to be almost guaranteed, given their competition in Week 9. 25 points isn’t absolutely terrible, but it was the biggest let down in a week where lots of underdogs showed up huge.
Honorable Mentions:
- XL Mickey $270,000: 24.86 points.
- MSF Febiven $300,000: 29.40 points.
BOT LANE
Team: Vitality
Cost: $180,000
Points: 67.38
Discussion: Maybe these best performer spots for the LoL Fantasy Best and Worst Performers Week 9 Spring 2020 should be given to Fnatic’s players, considering how it’s entirely their doing that allowed this to happen. After only getting one kill in his match against Misfits, Comp got 13 kills versus Fnatic, catapulting him into the top two highest scorers in the bot lane position, second only to Caps.
Honorable Mentions:
- 100T Cody Sun $260,000: 63.40 points.
- SK Crownshot $220,000: 57.42 points.
Team: Rogue
Cost: $310,000
Points: 18.91
Discussion: Hans Sama was the biggest let down of all the Rogue players in Week 9. He’s been one of the highest scoring bot laners on average in the past 3 splits, but he simply wasn’t able to generate points in both losses.
Honorable Mentions:
- XL Patrik $250,000: 17.30 points.
- FLY WildTurtle $270,000: 28.62 points.
SUPPORT
Team: Vitality
Cost: $50,000
Points: 41.58
Discussion: Seeing how almost every other player was on Vitality, it makes sense that their support would earn the best performer spot in their respective role too. Not much more to say than that!
Honorable Mentions:
- SK LIMIT $70,000: 33.82 points.
- MAD Kaiser $170,000: 34.70 points.
- TL CoreJJ $130,000: 29.14 points.
Team: Rogue
Cost: $220,000
Points: 6.42
Discussion: For the exact same reason as Steelback, Vander finds himself in the worst performer column in Week 9.
Honorable Mentions:
- TSM Biofrost $180,000: 9.96 points.
- FLY Ignar $190,000: 13.14 points.
TEAM
Cost: $150,000
Points: 56
Discussion: Despite Vitality having the higher value players, SK Gaming claimed the top performing team spot by winning both their matches, and in convincing fashion. Both victories were under 33 minutes, and they secured at least 4 dragons and a baron each time. Those stats are certainly worthy of the top performer spot.
Honorable Mentions:
- Golden Guardians $210,000: 51 points.
- 100 Thieves $210,000: 48 points.
- Dignitas $170,000: 46 points.
Cost: $250,000
Points: 9
Discussion: Not only did Rogue have 4 out of 5 of their players find themselves in the worst performer column, but the team as whole landed their too. Rogue lost so badly in both their games, they could only scrape together 9 points when all was said and done.
Honorable Mentions:
- Excel Esports $220,000: 10 points.
- Flyquest $250,000: 27 points.
