The two most important questions when building your E1 Fantasy Lineup: Who do I pick? Who do I not pick? Well we heard you mumbling these questions to yourself and are giving you some help. Who to avoid is just as important as to who you flock towards as you need to make sure your whole lineup is set to pop-off, from Top to Team. We are giving you one player/team from each position to target and another one to run as far away from as you possibly can. Choose wisely!
If you followed my articles last week, you would have heard my raving about how great RGE Finn’s matchup against FNC Bwipo was (Bwipo had a 20 Death lead for most Deaths in the LEC). Although the other members of RGE tanked his upside, he still led the team in scoring and topped 50 points even though he didn’t get a win. I expect Wunder to take even more advantage of this matchup and know his supporting cast won’t disappoint.
Orome - MAD Lions $250,000 (vs S04 & RGE if they win)
His 29 points in a loss to G2 was his first time scoring more than 13 in a loss this year (and it only took 22 team Kills to get there). With MAD losing 6 of their last 8, Orome’s fantasy success is too fragile to depend on.
Shadow was only 13 points behind the #1 scoring Jungler Blaber. That may not sound crazy, but then you realize that Shadow did that while only winning ONE GAME! He was the main carry for MAD last week, finishing with 3 games with 5+ Kills, including an 8/0/8 41 point explosion. MAD has put him on carry Champions lately, and setting Shadow up to pop off, which will be needed in order to beat S04.
Jankos - G2 Esports $290,000 (vs FNC)
This is not the Jankos we are used to seeing. He already leads all players in Deaths in playoffs and only had one 22+ point game in the series over MAD, which came on Sejuani (which nobody, including Jankos, wants to see him play).
I don’t even need to make a case here. Claps had 2 games of 7+ Kills and 11 Assists just last week as he is playing out of his mind right now. Now he gets to go against his former team in a series that should feature just as many Kills. Claps is an easy pick this week.
Nisqy - Cloud9 $330,000 (Vs TSM)
Prior to the last series, Nisqy only had 2 games all season in which he recorded 5+ Kill. He had 3 of those games just in his EG series… He won’t be able to repeat that this week going in-lane with Bjergsen.
You hear how Doublelift was saying Zven is off his game and excited to match up against him? I am sure Zven heard. Zven has scored over 25 points in 5 of his last 7 games, and is fresh off a week where he outscored every single player on the slate by over 20 points. Zven is the one who should be excited about his in-lane matchup this week.
Doublelift - Team SoloMid $260,000 (vs C9)
Even Doublelift has admitted that he is taking a backseat and just letting Bjergsen carry. You don’t want to pick a Bot Laner with a goal of “just not to get embarrassed.”
After a week in which MAD only won a single game, Kaiser was still only 6 points behind G2 Mikyx for 2nd at the position. Kaiser scored over 24 points in 2 games of their series, something no other Support did all week. Imagine how many points Kaiser would score if he got 3 wins over S04… Whoa.
Hylissang - Fnatic $80,000 (vs G2)
Even in a huge 3-0 sweep of the #1 seeded LEC team, Hylissang still finishes outside of the top 8 Supports in fantasy scoring. Not sure what more you could hope for.
Of every single series happening this weekend, G2 is the only team I can confidently tell you that they will win. In a weekend of madness and uncertainty, I can’t blame anybody for paying up for safety at a position that is so reliant on winning or losing.
Rogue $250,000 (vs winner of MAD/S04)
After the worst Summer Playoff showing of any team, they seem to be a sitting duck waiting to get run over by the hotter team to come out of the MAD/S04 series.
