TOP LANE

Team: Team SoloMid

Cost: $200,000

Opponent: FLY

Reasoning: Very few Top laners are asked to carry games as much as Broken Blade. This even comes to the point where Bjergsen plays tank and BB ends up being the primary carry of the game. Even though TSM has had a wildly inconsistent year, BB has proven that he is comfortable in the carry spot, which brings big upside at a position that rarely provides upside.

Team: Rogue

Cost: $210,000

Opponent: OG (& G2 if they win)

Reasoning: Rogue looked awful at the end of the season. It was great to see them beat Misfits, but Misfits struggled just as much at the end of the season… A win is nice, but don’t see any momentum that they can threaten OG with. The most daunting task for Finn, going head to head with LEC All-Pro Top Laner Alphari.

JUNGLE

Team: G2 Esports

Cost: $340,000

Opponent: Winner of RGE/OG

Reasoning: G2 doesn’t know who they will be facing yet, but I don’t think they care. After an embarrassing showing by G2 standards, I expect them to bounce back in a major way. And vintage G2 includes Jankos putting up final statlines that you are used to seeing from a Mid/Bot laner. That is a huge advantage at the Jungler position, hence featuring in the LoL Fantasy Players to Pick and Avoid Playoffs 2 Spring 2020.

Team: Evil Geniuses

Cost: $240,000

Opponent: C9

Reasoning: Omg Svenskeren won MVP with C9 last year and knows their secrets! He will be a good play! No… stop that. Do you know what Svenskeren’s combined KDA is against C9 this season? 2/15/7…And the second of those games were right at the end of the season when EG was firing on all cylinders.

MID LANE

Team: Cloud9

Cost: $340,000

Opponent: EG

Reasoning: If you are reading this message, you finished the first round of the playoffs with the same amount of deaths as Nisqy. Zero, zilch, nada, nunca. However, he finished with 19 more kills than you too. (Note: if you are a pro player in LCS or LEC, these facts may not apply). I see no reason to think that EG will be any more of a roadblock than 100 was for the dominant C9.

Team: Evil Geniuses

Cost: $280,000

Opponent: C9

Reasoning: This has been an amazing run for EG. They drastically turned their season around and I have been adamant than Jiizuke is the #1 reason for that. However, he cannot save this series for them. Jiizuke has a combined 4/10/7 line in EG’s two games against C9 and that is better than what I expect this weekend. Jiizuke’s lane opponent, Nisqy, finished his first series without a single death. Forget having fantasy success, Jiizuke needs to just find a way to kill Nisqy once.

BOT LANE

Team: G2 Esports

Cost: $380,000

Opponent: Winner of RGE/OG

Reasoning: I know I am a total buzzkill just picking the most expensive player on the slate, but do you know why he is the most expensive player on the slate? Because he is the best player and should be expected to outscore everyone. G2 fights a ton every game, and now they are angry! There Will Be Blood. Caps is a must pick from our  LoL Fantasy Players to Pick and Avoid Playoffs 2 Spring 2020!

Team: Flyquest

Cost: $250,000

Opponent: TSM

Reasoning: Point wise, Wildturtle had a very strong showing in the first week of playoffs. But you know who had an even better showing? 3 of his teammates! Yes, WildTurtle, the Bot laner (the highest scoring position) was outscored by 3 of his teammates! I can’t have that. As those numbers deflate against a stronger opponent, WildTurtle’s should deflate the most.

SUPPORT

Team: Team SoloMid

Cost: $120,000

Opponent: FLY

Reasoning: You can do a LOT with your lineup by only spending 120k on your Support, and that’s why we make the LoL Fantasy Players to Pick and Avoid Playoffs 2 Spring 2020!. Better yet, you are able to save all that money and still buy a Support that has a very strong ability to win their series. Biofrost may not have the safety of other Supports since TSM is in a close matchup, but the combination of savings and upside can do a lot for a lineup.

Team: G2 Esports

Cost: $260,000

Opponent: Winner of RGE/OG

Reasoning: As the player pool decreases, it becomes more and more skill-testing to create a lineup. The key to it all though; saving money with Support. For that reason, I am not even thinking about Mikyx. I fully expect him to be Top 2 at the position, but I just can’t afford it. I’d rather pick sacrifice safety for upside, save money in doing so and let my main point sources shine.

TEAM

Cost: $230,000

Opponent: FLY

Reasoning: It wasn’t pretty, but they got the series win. Now is the time where everybody jumps back on the TSM bandwagon and takes them to pull another upset. Honestly, I can’t really blame the TSM faithful though because when they are at their best, they can even beat Cloud9. It is a risky pick, but the upside is here to get a series win at an extremely good price.

Cost: $240,000

Opponent: TSM

Reasoning: You wouldn’t know by checking Twitter, but FLY is supposed to be the favorite in this matchup. However, I am hopping on the bandwagon and expecting FLY to get eliminated here. Even if I am wrong and they win, the clear risk of them getting bounced scares me off of the pick. Do not forget about how much they stumbled to end the year, hence the feature in  LoL Fantasy Players to Pick and Avoid Playoffs 2 Spring 2020. Yes they looked great against Golden Guardians, but most teams do.

Thank you for reading the LoL Fantasy Players to Pick and Avoid Playoffs 2 Spring 2020!
