Champion Picks: Week 6

The LoL Fantasy Champion Picks Week 6 Spring 2020 is a helpful resource for determining which Champion’s you should pick for your Captain each week.

If you are unsure how captains work, we recommend reading up on our Scoring System.

For Newbies:
There are 148 Champions in League of Legends. At the start of each match players take it in turn to pick Champions they want to play, and ban Champions they don’t want their opponents to play.

TOP LANE CHAMPIONS

LEC ANALYSIS

Most Played

Aatrox – 25 times (6 games last week)
Sett – 17 times (5 games last week)
Ornn – 14 times (New to top 3)

Analysis for Captain

The top meta has definitely taken shape, the strange part is that Sett keeps getting picked even with a 35% win rate. Aatrox on the other hand is #slaying with a 60% win rate. I would still go with Aatrox and pick a very strong top laner as he will give you maximum points

LCS ANALYSIS

Most Played

Aatrox – 27 times (4 games last week)
Sett – 16 times (New to top 3)
Ornn – 14 times (3 game last week)

Analysis for Captain

The LCS wasn’t as focused on Aatrox and Sett with a few other Champions coming into the picture. The funny thing is that the win rates in the LCS are reversed with Aatrox having a 33% win rate and Sett having a 56% win rate!

JUNGLE CHAMPIONS

LEC ANALYSIS

Most Played

Gragas – 23 times (3 games last week)
Lee Sin – 21 times (4 games last week)
Jarvan IV – 11 times (1 game last week)

Analysis for Captain

Gragas is thee best pick for win rate and to maximize Captain points, however, with Lee Sin catching up slowly with a 52% win rate, picking either is valid.

LCS ANALYSIS

Most Played

Lee Sin – 27 times (6 games last week)
Jarvan IV – 12 times (2 games last week)
Gragas – 14 times (6 games last week)

Analysis for Captain

I’m so happy that the LCS is FINALLY recognizing the strength of Gragas, who jumped a whopping 6 spots this week. I recommend going with Gragas or Lee Sin. Keep an eye out for Sejuani next week who is trying to catch the top 3.

MID LANE CHAMPIONS

LEC ANALYSIS

Most Played

LeBlanc – 15 times (1 game last week)
Zoe – 11 times (2 games last week)
 Ryze –
9 times (New to top 3)

Analysis for Captain

Want to here something strange, the best Mid Laner was Ornn last weekend, it has now been played 7 matches and has a 100% win rate. I’m still not convinced that it will make the top 3, but LoL esports has seen stranger things. I would still avoid picking an LEC Mid Laner as your Captain, nothing changed in the LoL Fantasy Champion Picks Week 6 Spring 2020.

LCS ANALYSIS

Most Played

Zoe – 17 times (5 games last week)
Syndra – 13 times (3 games last week)
Orianna  12 times (3 games last week)

Analysis for Captain

Unlike the LEC, the LCS seems like it has a more stable meta. This is the first week I would consider picking an LCS Mid Laner for my Captain. I would recommend Zoe, but the likelihood of a Mid Laner going the same Champion both games is super rare.

BOT LANE CHAMPIONS

LEC ANALYSIS

Most Played

Aphelios – 25 times (3 games last week)
Miss Fortune – 25 times (8 games last week)
Xayah – 12 times (New to top 3)

Analysis for Captain

Miss Fortune is the rising star, with 8 games under her belt last weekend she is the safest bet. The best part is she isn’t a high priority ban, so I feel she will be played at least 4-5 games….8 was pretty extreme.

[I have removed Senna as she is technically top 3, but she hasn’t been played for 2 weeks]

LCS ANALYSIS

Most Played

Aphelios – 22 times (4 games last week)
Miss Fortune – 17 times (New to top 3)
Xayah – 16 times (4 games last week)

Analysis for Captain

The rise of Miss Fortune continues, however, for the LCS you are juggling 3 potential picks for your Bot Laner Captain, so it’s more challenging than the LEC this week.

[I have removed Senna as she is technically top 3, but she has only been played 1 time in 2 weeks]

SUPPORT CHAMPIONS

LEC ANALYSIS

Most Played

Braum – 26 times (4 games last week)
Nautilus– 24 times (6 games last week)
Rakan – 18 times (3 games last week)

Analysis for Captain

Have you been Naughtilus or nice this week? The heavy engage Champion flew up the ranks this week with 6 games! I have a feeling it will be another balanced week for the top 3 Supports.

LCS ANALYSIS

Most Played

Nautilus – 18 times (3 games last week)
Tahm Kench – 18 times (3 games last week)
Rakan– 16 times (4 games last week)

Analysis for Captain

Similar to the LEC, the LCS meta seems to be focused on these three Champions, I feel the teams will lean towards Nautilus, but that’s just a hunch.

THE WRAP UP

There has been a lot of debate about which role is the best to pick for a Captain. This week I’d put my money on Top, Jungle, Bot, Support then Mid as the safest Captains to pick. If you are looking for bigger returns, traditionally Bot is the highest scorer, in that case I’d be picking Miss Fortune.
