Best Value Players: Week 6

Best Values? What is that?

We give you the power in the LoL Fantasy Best Value Players Week 6 Spring 2020 to find those diamonds in the rough! In a perfect LoL world, the highest priced player would score the most and the cheapest would score the least. But we don’t live in a LoL world where everything makes sense, just ask Team Liquid. So we want the players that are going to return EXTRA VALUE for us. We want to find the 5th most expensive Top Laner that will end the week at #1, or the Mid priced that finishes top 5.

How Does it Work?

We find players that are both cost effective and likely to score a higher than expected number of points over the weekend’s matches. We don’t only give the best value, we give you the best value by role for both the LEC and LCS! Why? Because we love you, that’s why.

Fantasy LoL best value players LEC and LCS

TOP LANE: BEST VALUE

LEC

Player: Dan Dan (Misfits)

Cost: $250,000

Opponents: FNC & SK

Reasoning: Like other Misfits players, Dan Dan’s price was on a sky high trajectory. Yes the win streak is over, so even though the price inflation cooled off, it doesn’t mean Dan Dan has been any less dominant over the last few weeks.

LCS

Player: V1per (FlyQuest)

Cost: $230,000

Opponents: C9 & DIG

Reasoning: As V1per goes, so does Flyquest. The C9 matchup is scary, but I think people are sleeping on the fact that this is a #1 vs #2 matchup in the LCS. Anything can happen in a title fight, and DIG will be a safe source of points for V1per in case they don’t win the crown.

JUNGLE: BEST VALUE

LEC

Player: Shadow (MAD Lions)

Cost: $260,000

Opponents: VIT & XL

Reasoning: This is a straight schedule play for me. I expect MAD to be able to 2-0 this week in decisive fashion and Shadow to have his nose in every fight that gets stirred up (which will be a lot when playing XL).

LCS

Player: Svenskeren (Evil Geniuses)

Cost: $230,000

Opponents: C9 & DIG

Reasoning: This one does not feel good at all… Svenskeren’s production has been bad, but the underlying numbers have been great, specifically his Kill Participation. The former MVP ranks 4th in the entire LCS in the stat (75.8%), so if EG starts finding kills, you know Svenskeren will be there.

MID LANE: BEST VALUE

LEC

Player: Nukeduck (Origen)

Cost: $260,000

Opponents: S04 & RGE

Reasoning: Out of all of the players on the LEC top-tier teams, Nukeduck is the cheapest mid laner. He hasn’t really earned a higher price, but he has a very favorable situation with his supporting cast that makes him a very safe pick.

LCS

Player: Ryoma (100 Thieves)

Cost: $210,000

Opponents: EG & TL

Reasoning: I was SO GLAD to finally see a breakout week for Ryoma last week as he cracked the top 5 at the position. Maybe the rookie is finally finding his groove, and his matchups this week are just as nice.

BOT LANE: BEST VALUE

LEC

Player: Upset (Origen)

Cost: $360,000

Opponents: S04 & RGE

Reasoning: It is odd to say a $360,000 player is being undervalued, but that is the case here. Everybody drools over and argues about the top 3 bots (Caps, Zven & Rekkles), and nobody realizes that Upset can easily top the position even though he is 4th in price.

LCS

Player: Altec (Immortals)

Cost: $220,000

Opponents: GG & CLG

Reasoning: Always cheap, but always producing. He doesn’t put a top tier numbers, but you can’t expect that when you go discount on your bot laner. Altec is the only player on Immortals getting the kills and he will have two good opportunities to find them this week.

SUPPORT: BEST VALUE

LEC

Player: Kaiser (MAD Lions)

Cost: $210,000

Opponents: VIT & XL

Reasoning: I am going MAD this week. Their strength doesn’t necessarily come from the bot lane, but the duo down there should be able to benefit from the wins the same. Kaiser has an easy path to go Chris Paul this week and rack up the assists.

LCS

Player: Hakuho (Immortals)

Cost: $130,000

Opponents: GG & CLG

Reasoning: Altec can’t play well unless Hakuho does too. Hakuho is not a sexy pick, but he established a solid floor that will return value. Also, IMT has clearly established that they are better than CLG in the LoL Fantasy Best Value Players Week 6 Spring 2020.

TEAM: BEST VALUE

LEC

Player: Origen

Cost: $310,000

Opponents: S04 & RGE

Reasoning: I want a guaranteed 2-0 week from my team, and Origen is right next to G2 as the biggest guarantees on the slate. Even between those two, I’m taking Origen since they cost less and care more about objectives.

LCS

Player: Immortals

Cost: $210,000

Opponents: GG & CLG

Reasoning: Who has been the Fantasy MVP for Immortals? Well… Immortals. The team itself has been the biggest producer all season long. The long, methodical, objective driven, boring (who said boring? I didn’t) games are money for racking up team points.
