Let’s get right down to business. Whether you are playing to win the F2P Cup, 1v1 Challenge, or taking on a Squad Battle, we all are after the W. We can even make some money on the way. So let’s take a look and see which players can be the biggest value, and who is most deserving of your Captain Crown.
Fudge - Cloud9 $270,000 (vs 100)
Everybody wants a piece of C9. The tough part though is that the prices reflect that. So how about we grab the cheapest C9 piece we can? $20 below the top option at the position, Fudge doesn’t have a fun matchup in lane with Ssumday, but he is part of the hottest team in LCS right now.
Santorin - Team Liquid $290,000 (vs TSM)
Don’t get used to seeing Santorin outside the Top 2 at the position in price. And I also hope you did not get used to see him putting up underwhelming numbers. He outscored everybody at the position by 25+ points last week, bringing momentum into the playoffs.
PowerOfEvil - Team SoloMid $300,000 (vs TL)
Even though everybody expects C9 & TL to win, you have to give a nod to the idea of one of them losing. Once you do that, figure out who would benefit the most from that. POE is by far my favorite contrarian play for TSM. He has scored 26+ points in 5 of his last 6 games, 2 of which we losses, and is the clear leader of the inspired TSM squad.
FBI - 100 Thieves $280,000 (vs C9)
Just like POE, FBI is my favorite contrarian play for those who think 100 has a chance to pull the upset. The upside is definitely here. He is averaging over 9 Kills across his last 3 Wins, and honestly has been looking much better than Tactical as a whole lately. 100 Thieves fans, here is your golden ticket.
CoreJJ - Team Liquid $110,000 (vs TSM)
Supports need the wins, and CoreJJ has the 2nd best chance of leaving the weekend with 3 of them. Quality of wins, don’t make a huge difference between CoreJJ & Vulcan, so I am happy to take the cheaper option (even though CoreJJ did outscore Vulcan by 15 last week).
Team Liquid $260,000 (vs TSM)
This is going to be the lowest price you see for Team Liquid for a long time. Grab it quickly before it goes up! Kidding, it won’t change, but I am not kidding about how you should pick them quickly. Go on, get!
Best Overall Captain: C9 Zven: Tristana & Kaisa
After only playing these 2 Champs across all games last week, we know where Zven’s priorities are at. However, it is the lack of other strong Captain options that make him the best Captain this week. Of players expected to win, he is the only one showing top-tier form while on predictable Champs.
Risky Captain: C9 Perkz: Syndra & Orianna
Notice above I said ‘while on predictable Champs.’ Perkz is definitely in top-tier form, but has always has a wide Champion pool. However, after 2 straight wins on Orianna, we are hoping to see a little more predictability because we know the upside is here.
